I was at an expo on sunday and they had some baby green iguanas for twelve bucks! I could not pass up my dream pet and she was SO sweet, so I took her on and I'm so excited!

I named her Esmerelda and she's around 3 months old. Right now, she's smaller than my water dragon, but I know that won't last long. Wink

Isn't she sweet?

I clipped her nails for the first time the other day. WOW, what a difference? I've got little cuts from her all on my hands and one of the first days, after handling her, I put some of the hand sanitizer and rubbed it all over my hands.... OUCH!!!!! BURNING! Haven't done that again. Wink But since I've clipped them, it is really nice and I am surprised at how calm she already is.

I'm not sure why it is my dream pet. I guess I just think they are so attractive. I've wanted one as long as I can remember really. I used to always see people with them on their shoulders and thought they were so neat. I've read loads on them and I know they ARE a handful. For a while, I thought maybe it wasn't the best pet for me to get, but since then I have had the beardies and the water dragon and I guess that has been a stepping stone for this in a while.

I just can't WAIT until she is full size!

I will take some soon! Cheesy

I haven't clipped any of my beardies nails before. They can be a little sharp, but I think they keep them down pretty good just climbing and running around.

lol. All lizards have that certain glare they give you. lol. My water dragon can give one of the most annoyed looks I've ever seen. If looks could kill... Wink
