sounds interesting...  but i probably am one of the farthest away, being in interior alaska.  but i do have a cousin in kcmo.  last time i visited him, we adopted our daughter (from americam adoptions there)...  but that was 12 years ago!  if and when we visit again, i will want to see if my son and i can visit anthony's facility, that is, if he does visits!

I'd be there. It is only about a days drive from my house.  I second a tour of anthonys' facilities idea. Shocked

Hey everyone,

Sorry I haven't been back here since I posted this thread.  I'm actually at Allen's house (in southern California) as I type this.

Facility tours....provided we didn't have 50 people running through my facility at one time, I would be fine with doing some tours.

Gecko types...no, it wouldn't be limited to just cresteds.  Of course, I'd probably have to chew someone's ass if they showed up with something like wild caught uroplatus.  We don't play around with spreading disease around my place!

Timing...It would likely be a weekend event (Saturday/Sunday) and I would definitely give you all plenty of notice before doing something like this.  I was thinking it would be a good event to hold during the early or late summer (when it's not too hot, but school is out).

Canadians...I think we're only about 10-12 hours from the Toronto area.  Considering it's legal to drive crested geckos (and all other Rhacs...and leopard geckos) back across the border, this type of event would be a good opportunity for our northern neighbors to get some new stock.

Oh yeah, just FYI...I'm in Kansas City, Missouri...not Kansas.  I don't drive like near enough of an a-hole to live in Kansas.  Grin

If I had advance notice and could plan for it I would DEFINITELY be down with a visit. Especially if I got a chance to see your facilities, Anthony.  Wink  I'm glad you made the point about transporting cresties/rhacs across the border. And I would be very interested in getting some new blood for my upcoming projects for sure.

I'd need plenty of notice for two reasons though... One, because I'd have to get the time off of work. And two, because I'd need time to save up enough cash to cover all the geckos I'd want to buy, haha.

EDIT: A Greyhound ticket is only about $300. Haha.

And if you fly it'll be a ton more trouble trying to get cresties back over the boarder. Better to just drive on through.

lol raen,  never mind T.O.  i just looked at your directions.  you drive to Sarnia and i'll drive the rest of the way.  it looks like i'm almost half way there from your turf!

LOL  Maybe we'll have to do that (obviously depending on timing, funds, significant others having problems with it... lol). Tongue  Though, I'm not guaranteeing what I'll be driving down there by car...  Might be on a bus... Might be a bike.  Undecided  I don't have a car. lol  Maybe I'll convince someone to come with me so that I can go in a car... lol

Well Mapquest says it's about 17 and a half hours to drive to Kansas City from Baltimore...so depending on the date I'll try and make it out there!  Smiley

I'd love to go... and with advance notice, I could get my friend and her kids (over 17) to come too... we'd make an adventure out of it...
Tho I'd DEFINATELY need to have advanced notice, a near-by hotel, and some cash saved up Wink
