so, we just got one of these but there's conflicting advice everywhere, temperament etc - i know it varies spider to spider but some places say they are quite aggressive as a type and some say they are usually docile.  also what kind of set up she will need, she's only a baby at the mo about an inch or so.. what size will she need when she is fully grown? any advice and tips really!

thanks

you have nothing to worry about with your lassi  Wink they are very docile, but can be quick sometimes. once you really get used to tarantulas, youll think its nothing. at this point i handle ALL my tarantulas. once they are out of their habitat they tend to let their guard down. anyways, yours will grow very quickly if fed regularly, and the temps are fairly high (75-80) it will need a hide, and make sure there isnt much space for it to climb. if they fall from even a few inches, they can get internal damage, or an abdomen split. in my experience, these guys dont need much humidity, but it doesnt hurt to mist the substrate every so often. feed crix about once a week, or mealworms if you like, and have a bottle cap or something shallow to drink from. hope this helps! welcome to the addiction  Grin

at this size, a small kritter keepeer with a hide. as she gets bigger, her molts will be farther and farther apart. and like i said it depends on the feeding. the more you feed, the faster it will molt as a juvie. but once she gets to be 4" and so on, the molts can span to a few months apart, etc

only give one cricket at a time, any more than that in there will stress the t. and also, if it molts, the crix can eat the t after it has molted, since its very weak and soft, it wouldnt be able to defend itself. and your welcome, and questions just ask!
