Today my amazing husband suprised me with live plants, peat moss, and a fogger! Cheesy I'm super excited, and he helped me plant my tank and cut out the hole for the fogger. For someone who rolls his eyes at me whenever I look at new animals, he's being super awesome. Here are some pictures of the tank!

WOW!!!

VERY NICE!!!

Sounds like hubby is a KEEPER!!

However-that yellow edged plant needs to GO!!  It's in the Croton family, and they have toxic/corrosive sap that can harm reptiles!!

I'd suggest you replace it with a Hoya, Peperomnia, bromiliad or a low grownung form of Saneveria.

They're all eye-catching plants, but they won't harm your geckos!!!

Thank you! We'll be sure to take that out! But that'll make room for the small waterfall we just got off of ebay for cheap. My husband feels bad cause that was his favorite, but we'll just put it in a pot : )

Yep-no reason to throw it out!!  They're still VERY PRETTY plants!!

Just put it in a pot outside the tank!!

If hubby likes it that much, put it near his side of the couch or his chair!!

Another couple of plants to consider are Fittonia and Kalanchoe tomentosa (Pandabear plant).  The Fittonias have colored veins on the leaves that almost GLOW under a blue or red night light!!

All the plants I listed are VERY HARDY to geckos climbing, pooping and digging.

I just googled pictures of the Fittonia and Kyle immediatly said yes, so we'll probably end up getting it by the end of the week, or whenever the waterfall comes. Thank you so much for the advice, you're a big help!

I volunteered in an area greenhouse a few years back.

It's about time this wealth of plant info helps people and animals!!!
