Well guys & girls, I've tried my best to keep this site under wraps until it was at least somewhat functional.? The site is not complete, but the forums are fully functional, so I figured we'd at least get things kicked off.

The reason I decided to open my own forums is simple.? I wanted a forum where crested gecko owners can ask questions without worrying if the advice they're being given is accurate. I've seen too many other forum owners let inexperienced "experts" take over and ultimately comprimise the quality of the information being handed out.? I don't claim to be an expert, but I've seen some dangerous advice being handed out by these individuals and that's the kind of thing that won't be allowed here.

Another important aspect of these forums will be selective breeding discussion and I highly encourage everyone to start taking photos of their breeder geckos and their offspring as they grow, so that they can learn what makes what and share that information with others.

As many of you noticed, the age requirement is 18 years old...meaning we don't have to put up with childish behavior and we can also have a little fun.? I'm not going to be a stickler on language, but let's try to keep it reasonable!

As you probably noted when reading the rules (you better have read them!!!), the Ciliatus.com forums will be very loosely moderated.  I'm too busy to argue about what constitutes childish behavior or bogus information, so any posts that go "over the line" will most likely be removed without warning.

That's it...let's keep it fun and turn this thing into something special!

Thanks again for registering.

Hey Anthony,

I've been checking periodically to see when things would get going here. I hope to be involved with the new forums.
